Our mission is to provide a positive and safe environment that inspires students to become responsible, well-rounded, civic-minded, global thinkers who are equipped with 21st century skills and are prepared for the academic rigors of high school and future challenges.
Mr. Myers recently graduated from Kean University with honors as well as being recognized under Whose Who in American Universities and Colleges. In addition to teaching UA-7 Music, Mr. Myers also teaches part-time music in the South Orange-Maplewood School District, as well as perucussion classes in Union. He has also been the Percussion Caption Head for the Union High School Marching Band since 2009 where he instructs the drumline & front ensemble as well as arranges the drumline music.
As a performer, Mr. Myers is a freelance musician in the NJ/NY areas playing with group such as, the Yonkers Philharmonic, New Jersey Conservatory, Hunterdon Symphony, Summit Symphony, Metropolitan Orchestra of NJ, NY Philharmonic Symphony, Eastern Winds Symphony, as has also recorded with the Imperial Brass Band, as well as Eastern Winds Symphony. While at Kean, Mr. Myers performed often as a soloist at many concerts and school functions. Also, his senior recital was hailed as being very professional, and could rival recital programs at major music conservatories. Outside of the concert hall, Mr. Myers was a member of the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps Drumline in 2010 where he toured the country performing and competing against other Corps under the organization Drum Corps International. From 2006 to 2009 he was a member of the Raiders Drum & Bugle Corps based out of New Jersey, and has been on their instructional staff since 2011.
